Meet Kristin

Hi, welcome, I’m Kristin Koliha, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing online therapy for clients in Ohio, Washington, Oregon, Kentucky, and Rhode Island.  I’m based in Washington state. Having moved around the country at various times in my life – I understand how tough it can be to find footing in new environments and how to create a place that feels like home.  

 

I specialize in working with adults with ADHD, if you are curious or questioning if you have ADHD, I encourage you to reach out. My clients have fast paced, busy lives, and understand the need to prioritize time for themselves being mindful of how you use their time.  I strive to assess each of my client’s needs and goals and tailor treatment planning on an individual and personal basis. Some areas you may find you want to work on include:

  • How to feel more comfortable in social situations

  • Why it may be hard to connect with others

  • How to manage racing thoughts 

  • Why is it so hard to relax

  • Putting past trauma in to perspective

  • How to feel more connected to my partner and/or children

  • Why is it so hard to get a good night sleep

  • What gives me joy and why

 

I use cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy techniques.  I am also flexible, combining tools and techniques that work best for each client – good mental health is an important component to overall health!
